Best Social Media Management

Powered by people. Learn about our team and our mission.

Our core beliefs.

  1. Employees first: we put our employees first so they will put the clients first.

  2. Extreme ownership: we exercise extreme ownership in all that we do; if there’s a mistake we own it and fix it.

  3. Do unto others: we treat everyone how we want to be treated (Luke 6:31).

  4. Family over business: we know that our work at Wayne Media is not the most important work in our lives.

  5. No offshoring: None of our work is shipped overseas.

Platforms that matter

Never be married to one platform. Our team focuses on the platforms that are relevant and will give your company the best return. From 2005 to 2008 MySpace was the king of the digital jungle, if you would’ve put all your eggs in the MySpace basket, well, you wouldn’t have any eggs left. These are some of our primary platforms. Not all of them are great for every business. Can’t decide? That’s what we are here for.

Creative Agency + Podcast Studio

Since the beginning, our company philosophy has been to only work in areas that we can actually meet with our clients. It’s been really important to have that relationship with our clients. It’s better for everyone involved. Also, we’re the only creative agency in Michigan that has both an in-house marketing team and a full-service podcast studio. Neat, huh?

 A better way to create.

When I first started out, there was a seemingly never-ending amount of marketing companies that over-promised and under-delivered. They would tell customers that they’d “get you to the #1 spot on Google” or “get you a 10-to-1 return on your money”. Those tactics never sat well with me because they were blind applications. What I mean by that is every small business ought to have a unique strategy that fits their business. With that, comes a unique ROI. No two businesses are alike, so promising a blanket return always seemed off to me.

I created Wayne Media because I knew that small businesses deserved better from the agencies that serve them. I started with the tenants that we would be 100% transparent and only work with businesses that are local to us. If we can’t sit around a table, shake hands, and drink bourbon (that part is optional, of course), then there is a strong probability that the relationship won’t be as strong, nor will the work be as collaborative.

In the first year of our business, I did a podcast that touched on the insides of our company. I discussed the clients we lost, the money we made, the lessons we learned, and where I hoped our future would take us. In the beginning, I had a lot to figure out and a lot to learn. Every day seemed like a directional change in the company, but the team stayed true to our tenants of transparency and local work.

That was January of 2019 and nearly three years later, we’ve grown to a team of 10, a client list of over 50, and we’ve cracked our goal of $1,000,000 in revenue. The most important thing in that last sentence is the team of 10. Without them, we wouldn’t have a company and we wouldn’t be able to serve our customers well. We’re driven by our team, which is why I have always had the philosophy of treating team members demonstrably well and ensuring they were a part of the vision and framework for the company.

When people come into our office they are sometimes taken aback at how friendly everyone is and how relaxed our offices are. The office was designed to be comfortable, so people don’t feel on edge or overly formal. With our clients, we have simple conversations about goals, dreams, and objectives, and how we can collaborate together to make it all happen. No hard sales. No gimmicks. No bait-and-switch. Only 100% effort, matched with 100% transparency. We’ve made mistakes, lost clients, learned a ton, and grown a lot. Our mindset of taking losses and turning them into educational opportunities is why we are still here and that this why we will continue to grow each and every day.

Our team practices extreme ownership and with that comes a responsibility to own each and every part of the process we are responsible for. We’ve had clients comment about how they were expecting excuses when something went awry, but instead heard someone take responsibility and put forth a plan of correction. Our Christian values coupled with the philosophy of extreme ownership are at the core of our service model and are why our client retention rate is so high.

I am proud of our team, our constant evolution, and our thirst for knowledge in an ever-changing marketplace. I am excited to see how the years to come impact our team and how it will make us better. If you’re considering a creative agency to help in the areas of video, websites, social media, or advertising, I hope you will consider us.

All the best,
